Morisano and Tim Nye, three successful entrepreneurs with far ranging experience in consumer behavior, entertainment and marketing. MANAGEMENT TEAM
JOHN O. MORISANO, Chief Executive Officer
John O. Morisano has spent his entire 18-year career helping to build and run entertainment and media companies. From his first job forward, John has always found himself at the heart of a company's operations.
John started his career at the Vista Organization, Ltd., a publicly-traded indie film company, and aided in its sale in 1989. After graduating from Pace University in 1989, he joined the accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers in its entertainment and media practice and received his CPA. In 1993, he moved to Paris to take over the European operations of Activision, a leading video game publisher. He subsequently moved back to the States and co-founded that company's biz dev group.
John left Activision in 1995 and returned to NYC from L.A. where he served as interim CEO of Dewynters NA, a UK-based merchandising and licensing concern. In 1996, he joined forces with Tim Nye at Sunshine Amalgamedia.
While at Sunshine, John has overseen the production of dozens of hours of television, numerous feature films, hundreds of hours of Internet content and a wide variety of other types of branded intellectual property. These included the development and sale of SonicNet to MTV, the positioning and construction of the Company's highly successful movie house - The Sunshine Cinema, Alltrue Networks and JetSet records, among others.
John is responsible for the strategic positioning of SD's products. His expertise is in creating relationships that uniquely match the inventor's needs and talents to those of Sunshine Direct.
LISA EISENPRESSER, President
Lisa Eisenpresser, responsible for the Company's product sourcing and development, has spent the last fourteen years as an entrepreneur, executive and strategist in media marketing, production and technology. Recently, Lisa was an executive at Ronald Lauder Investments in New York where she helped build Infinity Holdings, a venture capital group focused on media and technology companies.
From 1990-2001, Lisa created and produced numerous genres of entertainment for leading edge new media companies. As Executive Producer and VP of Strategic Development for Brilliant Digital Entertainment, she oversaw production and distribution of animated movies, music videos and advertisements. As VP of Original Content at iXL, a publicly traded consulting company, she led her department in the creation of branding programs for Forbes 500 clients as well as original programming for Microsoft and AOL. Among her creations was "Satori," a visionary series focused on self-improvement, which she conceived, produced and licensed to the Microsoft Network (MSN) in 1997.
Previously, Lisa directed CD-ROM business development at Time Warner and produced interactive TV and Internet content for TCI Cable, including an awarding-winning site for the Getty Museum.
Lisa began her career in television and film production at the news show, South Africa Now, and at Roger Corman's Concorde Pictures in Los Angeles. She embarked on a pioneering new media career in 1992 when she co-developed the first real-time digital video sampler, "VuJak." She holds a B.A. with honors from Brown University where she also received a Ford Foundation Grant in Modern Culture and Media.
TIMOTHY U. NYE, executive vice president
Tim's first venture into media was the music web site SoniceNet, which he founded in 1994. Now owned by MTVi, the award-winning SonicNet became synonymous with online music. Earlier in his career, Tim set out to create a non-profit venue for a diverse network of artists and founded Thread Waxing Space, a leading art gallery and performance space in NYC. Under its new name, Foundation 20 21, Nye continues as its Chairman and directs its mission to build a world-class collection of contemporary art.
In 1994, Tim secured the real estate rights to a defunct Yiddish Vaudeville Theater on Houston Street and turned it into a 5 screen art-house cinema. Landmark's Sunshine Cinemas has been one of the most successful art-house theatres in the country,
Tim founded Sunshine Amalgamedia, Inc. in 1995, a multi-disciplined entertainment company that developed and produced feature films and TV and provided award winning technology and web development services to a distinguished clientele. Sunshine Amalgamedia still has many active investments in the entertainment and media industries.
Tim sits on the board of The New Museum, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Merce Cunningham Dance Company and Bomb Magazine. Additionally, he serves on the New Technology Committee of the Whitney Museum of American Art.
Tim received a BA in art history in 1988 from Cornell University and was a Whitney Fellow in the Independent Curatorial Study Program at the Whitney Museum in New York City. In 1991, he received an MBA from Columbia University.
William M. Apfelbaum manager
William M.Apfelbaum is a renowned leader in the media industry. He is currently Chairman of MaxWorldWide, which he joined and helped establish as a leading online marketing and technology company. Bill is also the Managing Director for Titan Outdoor, an outdoor media sales company offering advertising opportunities in various sectors.
From mid August 1989 until April 2000, Bill served as Chairman and CEO of TDI. His company became the country's largest diversified outdoor media company, which he sold in March of 1996 to Infinity Broadcasting which was later sold to Westinghouse/CBS. Bill was involved in the management of all CBS divisions and created CBSPlus, the cross divisional sales team.
Prior to joining TDI, Bill served as President of Gannettt Transit, formerly New York Subways Advertising Co., Inc., a company he grew into a diversified, multi-market media conglomerate with transit, shelter, subway and bus advertising properties throughout the United States.
Bill serves on the board of several corporations and foundations including AdSpace Media Networks, AmFAR. He is also involved with in many philanthropic endeavors and in 1996, founded the Apfelbaum Family Foundation, a diverse charitable organization.
Bill's public speaking engagements have included guest lectures at the Harvard Business School, where his restructuring model is used as a case study, NYU and the London Business School. He has been profiled in publications such as Forbes, Chief Executive, Advertising Age, Marketing Week, Campaign and Crain's and others.
NANCY CARAVETTA advisor
Nancy has spent 14 years in the industry managing public relations programs for many of the world's leading blue-chip pharmaceutical companies. Prior to launching Celebrity HealthLink, Nancy was president and founding partner of CPR Worldwide USA, a boutique agency focused on global healthcare communications with offices in New York and London. CPR Worldwide USA was acquired by the Omnicon Group in 2002.
While at CPR, Nancy launched and managed the Hollywood Health & Entertainment division of the company, executing multifaceted marketing and communications programs that linked celebrities with timely health issues to promote broad public health awareness and/or to support a specific product or brand.
Nancy has teamed high-profile Hollywood talent with all of the leading pharmaceutical companies as well as an impressive roster of non-profit clients. In her role as strategic and creative director of Celebrity HealthLink and CPR, she works daily with all of the major talent and publicity agencies in the entertainment industry.
